Important reforms were implemented at the Ministry of Defense during Irakli Alasania's terms of service. The progress achieved by Georgia was regarded as unique among the NATO members and the partners and the country was awarded with a “substantial package” of the Alliance to help Georgia advance its preparations towards NATO membership.
Georgian MFA has managed to achieve a number of historic agreements under the leadership of Ms Maia Fanjikidze, as a Miister of Foreign Affairs, and Mr David Zalkaliani as her Deputy Minister. A number of important steps were made in international relations and Georgia attracted greater attention and engagement of the international community.
During his terms of service of the State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Mr Alexi Petriashvili was one of the leaders of Georgia's rapprochement with the European Union - the most successful progress achieved by Georgia in the last ten years.
